I purchased the V1 and C1 Neck for my Yamaha 62 baritone: both sound rounder, warmer and more colorful than the included neck. The responce and artikulation are more direct and precise. I like the silver plated version of the Yamaha 875EX soprano, however, still found the Yani 991 soprano to have a fuller richer sound and I've been a soprano player for over 30 years. I strongly believe Yanagisawa still leads the pack when it comes to sopranos. Most Roo pads come in an unusual color (white or black) and when one pad needs to be replaced, you have to go back to the tech who has that color to match the other pads. I've got the 85% copper, which produces a warmer sound. You shouldn't have to pay full retail; got mine for $800 less than the 1st price quoted.. Myvidster raw

When it is three hours into a gig, some one requests a tune on the big flute on the stand, and you have had three or four Guinnesses, then tell me how well you can transpose a lead sheet into the key you need to be successful on Alto Sax.
